postures offer an opportunity to linger quietly and savor the simple
sweetness of life while inducing stress-reduction, increased
circulation and calmness of mind. The practice of yoga is at its roots an
act of kindness toward oneself. In restorative yoga, this is certainly
true! Deeply relax and all the organ systems of the body benefit….

Yin/Yang yoga with Kenzie
Nov 1 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

YIN/Core  with Kenzie - Holding poses up to 5 minutes – to stretch the connective
tissues of the body. Yin muscles are plastic not elastic so longer held poses
are the most beneficial to getting down to the bones, the joints (ligaments/
cartilage). Balance/enhance your Hatha (Yang) practice with Yin and
feel the difference in the strength/length you get from this form of practice.
Yang muscles are superficial and easier to reach- poses are held in shorter
time limits.

Benefits: regulated energy levels; greater stamina; greater flexibility of
connective tissues and joints; improved meditation; deeper relaxation.

Yoga/Pranayama/Meditation with Nik
Nov 2 @ 10:30 am – 12:00 pm

Everyone Welcome – beginner to experienced -

Donation only class – suggested donation $10
Please donate generously to our beautiful teacher

Through the practice of Yoga, pranayama and meditation, we connect with the body and breath and give the mind a focus that helps provide a counter balance to the busy-mind of daily work and life. Through this process of redirecting the mind’s focus to physical sensation and breath, we gently guide the mind away from chatter toward stillness. The stillness of the mind at the end of a practice becomes the sweet dessert of the practice. Meditation is made more accessbile with a preliminary practice of asana and breath, but even alone can provide the path to that quiet stillness of mind.

Each yoga posture, or asana, has specific physical benefits which one learns through instruction and direct experience.

Yin Yoga with Anndee
Nov 2 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

All ages, flexibility and fitness levels are welcome! There are fewer poses (asanas) per class- each pose is held anywhere from 1-15 minutes (with props as needed). These poses target the deep connective (“Yin”) tissues in the body, such as ligaments, bones, fascia and joints of the body that are typically not accessed as much during a more active (“Yang”) practice. This class is a wonderful compliment if you already have an established muscular (“Yang”) practice. It is also great if you like a quiet class where you can slow down and surrender. The class is healing, relaxing and takes into account the whole person- body, mind and spirit. Prior yoga and/or meditation experience is not required.
