Oct 25 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

All ages welcome, flexibility and fitness levels are welcome! There are fewer poses (asanas) per class- each pose is held anywhere from 3-5  minutes (with props as needed). These poses target the deep connective (“Yin”) tissues in the body, such as ligaments, bones, fascia and joints of the body that are typically not accessed as much during a more active (“Yang”) practice. This class is a wonderful compliment if you already have an established muscular (“Yang”) practice. It is also great if you like a quiet class where you can slow down and surrender. The class is healing, relaxing and takes into account the whole person- body, mind and spirit. Prior yoga and/or meditation experience is not required.  In addition to the above ‘core’ asanas will be inserted to balance out the practice.

Meditation, Pranayam and Asana with Nik
Oct 26 @ 10:30 am – 12:00 pm

Everyone Welcome – beginner to experienced -

Donation only class – suggested donation $10
Please donate generously to our beautiful teacher

Through the practice of Yoga, pranayama and meditation, we connect with the body and breath and give the mind a focus that helps provide a counter balance to the busy-mind of daily work and life. Through this process of redirecting the mind’s focus to physical sensation and breath, we gently guide the mind away from chatter toward stillness. The stillness of the mind at the end of a practice becomes the sweet dessert of the practice. Meditation is made more accessbile with a preliminary practice of asana and breath, but even alone can provide the path to that quiet stillness of mind.

Each yoga posture, or asana, has specific physical benefits which one learns through instruction and direct experience.

All Levels- Using asanas (postures), mudras, pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation, the practice of Kundalini Yoga balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system, and enables us to harness the energy of the mind and the emotions, so we can be in control of ourselves, rather than being controlled by our thoughts and feelings. This is yoga for everyday life, and every person. You are not required to be in perfect physical shape or believe anything in particular. Kundalini Yoga works for you if you can breathe and move your body. The gift of Kundalini Yoga is that you experience it. No words can replace that experience. Your experience goes right to your heart, your core. These ancient teachings are designed to give you “hands on” experience of your highest consciousness. By approaching Kundalini Yoga with openness and respect, you can change your life.
